Late 17th-early 18th c Drawing, black chalk, grey wash, 17,6 x 17,8 cm, laid paper with watermark (AM), unsigned, ms. note in pen at bottom: "This is a Sketch of a Good Master" (stamp visible on recto, spots, flattened fold and crease, tear strengthened). Loose with custom-made passe-partout. Two boys wrangling over a musical instrument. Prov. Victor Winthrop Newman (1860-?), American artist (stamp, L. 2540).
