Erycius Puteanus, professor in Louvain, engages here in cosmological debates fueled by the comet of 1618 and the observations made with the telescope by Galileo. He rejects the traditional view of the immutability of the heavens and the existence of celestial spheres, arguing for the celestial nature of comets based on their parallax, motion and other physical characteristics. 2 - Eryci Puteani aenigma regium.
