Pink gold (750‰) openwork, boulé and cut-out scrollwork brooch centered with a curved white, gold and red enamel miniature depicting a "carved bust of a woman in profile".
19th century. In its case numbered "Jenny", signed Alfred ROBIN.
Quoted by Henri VEVER in his masterly work on "the jewelers of the nineteenth century", Alfred ROBIN, son of Charles ROBIN, was known as ROBIN-CHABANNAIS, his workshop being located at 11 rue de Chabannais in Paris, as indicated by the case.
