The verso inscribed in German and transcribed 'Has the bad weather weather, Driven you again to the tavern, Go, you old raven, Go and do what you have to do' i.e. get on with your job. Set in a glazed frame 10¾'' x 8½'' (27.5 cm x 21.5 cm).
