Rare Galand & Sommerville revolver, six shot, 450 caliber, double action, sold by Cogswell & Harrison.
Rifled barrel, engraved on top band "COGSWELL & HARRISON 223 & 224 STRAND LONDON", stamped on side "L2087". Push-button opening key at front of frame, stamped "GALAND & SOMMERVILLE PATENT" on one side and, on the other, intersecting spears and the letter "B". Barrel, open frame and fittings engraved with foliate scrolls. Varnished and squared walnut stock.
Blued and case hardened finish.
