Terakota Ceramiche Artistiche
Hand-painted ceramic amphora depicting a rural landscape.
''TERAKOTA is a workshop that deals with artistic creations
handcrafted ceramics.
Our creations range from the simple but original and finished
favors to more complex works (chandeliers, mosaics, vases,
amphorae, etc.), all customizable according to our customers' tastes.
The owner, as well as the artist of all the works you see in the photos,
is named ORAZIO TROVATO. Born in Acireale in 1978, from an early age he
shows a strong predisposition toward art especially in
creating, modeling and painting.
He honed this passion at the art institute of Giarre (CT) where he
he obtained his diploma and, after finishing his military service (where he had
assignment as the official draftsman of the newspaper of the 6th
Pioneer Engineer Regiment in Rome, he came fourth in a competition of
painting held by the barracks of Italy, receiving a commendation after his
discharge for collaborating as a draftsman in the development
of a newsletter relating to the Regiment's activities with a spirit of
cooperation and commendable dedication) immediately began working at
various workshops learning the secrets, as well as the beauty, of the
artistic ceramics, thus gaining 20 years of experience in the field.
Now, free to create what pleases him most, he continues his
profession, together with his collaborators, in his workshop located in
Acireale (CT), a veritable hotbed of ideas, crowning the passion
of a lifetime, where the name TERAKOTA in Lithuanian ... means EARTHWARE.''
