Large helmet mask of ''ngita'' type, Zaire, Cuba/ Kete. Wood, carved, anthropo/ zoomorphic mask with two horns bent backwards. Black patina. Concentric perforations in the area of the eyes. Uniform perforations along the lower edge. Remains of raffia fibers. H. ca. 40 cm, metal mount, h. 53,5 cm. Masks of ngita type are used in funeral rituals.
