Mask, probably Nigeria, Ibibio. Zoomorphic face mask/ monstrous hybrid creature with two backward curved horns, strongly protruding eyes, two noses and a beak-like, toothed mouth with two tusks. Two pairs of ears. Wood, carved, blackish brown patina, sparse white and red pigment. Traces of use ,cracking (ears). H. 41,5 cm. Provenance: Peer Hultberg Collection (1935-2007), Hamburg.
