Mask of the type ''idiok ekpu'', Nigeria, Ibibio. So-called. Deformation mask. Anthropomorphic face mask, wood, carved, black patina, nails, partial red and white pigment, animal hairs on the bridge of the nose, in the forehead area three calabashes applied. On the side vessels also animal hair application. In the rim area nail holes and two pierced holes. H. 30,5 cm. Provenance: Peer Hultberg Collection (1935-2007), Hamburg.
