On stretcher handwritten inscribed ''Kopie mit Genehmigung der Kunsthandlung Max Sinz gefertigt 1913 von H. Beyer''. Framed. 90 x 120 cm, 99 x 131 cm (Ra). Painting layer somewhat soiled. Numerous small splashes of a dark liquid. Painting support upper right somewhat wavy. Copy after Hofmann. Jesus in the temple. Oil on canvas, original from around 1880, this copy from 1913. Copied signature bottom right, below this monogrammed HB and dated 1913. Backside with roll stamp from the Gallery. On the stretcher with handwritten remarks and name of the copist: H. Beyer. Framed. Paint a bit dusty and with quite some small spots of a dark fluid. Canvas a bit wavy top right corner.
