African school, 19th and 20th century.
Four wood carvings.
The little ones are wearing original clothes.
Measurements. 47 cm. high the biggest one.
The three small carvings are from the 19th century, the largest dates from the 20th century. The four African statuettes, carved in the schematic and synthetic manner characteristic of native woodwork, probably have different ritual uses: the large one may represent an ancestor, guardian of the home, which can be deduced from the frontal appearance and the dimensions.
