Showcase clock; Napoleon III period; Last third of the 19th century.
Bronze and glass.
Measurements: 38 x 17.5 x 16 cm.
The piece is supported by four bronze legs in the manner of animal hooves, where the square base sits. This gives way to the rectangular body, made of glass, so that the clock mechanism is visible. This glass body is decorated with bronze ornamentation, both at the corners, which serves as a union and reinforcement, and in ornamental appliqués with plant motifs. The front is dominated by the clock case, with a white dial with black Arabic numerals, gilt and openwork hands and a small border of flowers running around the inner perimeter of the dial. A large, classically inspired goblet is placed on the case of the watch in a sculptural manner.
