French sofa Louis XV style, early 19th century. Carved and polychrome wood. The fabric upholstery is later. Stains on the upholstery. Lack of polychromy. Needs to be reworked. Measurements: 90 x 130 x 60 cm. Two-seater sofa in carved and polychrome wood, presenting the sinuous forms typical of Louis XV furniture. It is raised on six cabriole legs, which give it a movement that affects the curved profile of the waist, the skirt and the backrest. The Louis XV style corresponds to the courtly French Rococo, the main style during this century, although it was also influenced by the incipient neoclassicism.
