Georges Braque (1882-1963) et Henri-Michel Heger de Löwenfeld (1919-2000) Ring Zephir circa 1961-1963 In 18 K (750‰) white gold representing a bird the body paved with brilliant-cut diamonds in grain setting, signed Zephir - 006 - G.B - H.L Limited series of 8 pieces Finger size 50 Gross weight 5.8 g In the post-war decades, Georges Braque belonged to that fringe of artists praised by the public and the critics. A spearhead of Cubism with Picasso half a century earlier, Braque has largely conquered the walls of the world's greatest museums. And it is no coincidence that in 1948, the painter was awarded the Grand Prix of the Venice Biennale at the end of the first edition organized since the end of the war. The following year, important retrospectives were devoted to him in New York and Cleveland, reinforcing, if it were still necessary, his international recognition.
