ARNALDO POMODORO (1926) "PICCOLA SCULTURA", 2006 Bas-relief in gilded bronze, signed, numbered 2/20 and dated on the edge of the foot. Dimensions : 20 x 20 cm Modern Italian sculptor born in Morciano di Romagna, brother of Gio Pomodoro, also a sculptor, he turned to sculpture in the 1950s and joined the "Continuità" group with Lucio Fontana, Enrico Baj and Sergio Dangelo. His style is characterized by his work on important bronze pieces such as spheres, cones and disks which were acquired by cities such as Rome, Milan, Tivoli, Turin, Terni, Copenhagen, Brisbane, Dublin and Los Angeles, as well as by the Vatican and the Kremlin.
