Chased, gilt and patinated bronze clock representing a Roman Emperor holding a standard with an eagle and the initials SPQR. The circular dial with Roman numerals rests on a rectangular stepped base decorated with applied warrior attributes such as spear, helmet, sword, pilum and laurel. The whole supported by two front legs decorated with flowers, foliage and scrolls and two square back legs.
