Decorative element created to commemorate the proclamation of King Louis Philippe of France, as indicated in the text engraved on the tinted glass. The piece represents an architectural structure made of mercury-gilded bronze, which ends in a triangular lintel with a central lunette. What would originally be the opening of the structure is decorated with glass that differs in colour to form the French flag, above which is a text. The production of this type of object during coronations was common and in many cases simulated ephemeral architectures that were designed to adorn the city during the coronation celebrations. Louis-Philippe I or Louis-Philippe d'Orléans was proclaimed king from 1830 to 1848, thus becoming the last king of France.
