Urn following Roman models; 18th century.
Agate, onyx, porphyry and marble.
Provenance: Private Collection formed since the 70s, London and Madrid.
Measurements: 26 x 7.5 x 7.5 cm.
Urn that presents an ovoid container made of white onyx, which presents brown betas that provide a fully expressive character to the piece. The rest of the ornamental elements that make up the piece are found in the base conceived from resounding volumes of geometric inspiration. Stylistically, the work is based on models typical of classical culture, where this typology began to proliferate due to the change in the funerary conception.
