Frame; Italy, late 17th century. Carved and gilded wood. Slightly damaged. Provenance: private collection conceived from the 70's between London and Madrid. Measurements: 180 x 90 x 7,5 cm; 101 x 72 x 3,3 cm (Light). Baroque period frame made of wood with a rectangular format. The piece presents the usual design of dynamic and fluid aesthetics typical of the period. On the inner perimeter a chain of carved geometric elements gives way to the wider band in which the design becomes more complex. Sets of leaves follow one another rhythmically in this area, simulating acanthus leaves.
