Altar frontal from the chapel of the Bertodano family; Spanish school, 18th century.
Stucco hard stones.
Originally located in the Palace of Egüarás in Tarazona.
It has a certificate of authorship.
Includes study by Don Francisco Javier Delgado Echevarría.
Provenance: private collection conceived since the 1970s between London and Madrid.
Measurements: 97 x 150 x 14 cm.
Altar frontal of the chapel of the Bertodano family, as can be seen from the main coat of arms that adorns the work. Stucco piece created by the same artist and with the same technique as the piece that adorns the front of the high altar of the Collegiate Church of Borja, created by Ambrosius Mariesque in 1688. We also know that Ambrosius Mariesque was the author of at least the following works; frontal of the chapel of San Pedro Nolasco in the backchamber of the cathedral of San Salvador, La Seo de Zaragoza, frontal of the altar of the chapel of San José, of the Dukes of Villahermosa, in the church of San Carlos Borromeo in that city, frontal of the chapel of the Virgen del Rosario in the parish church of Malón (Zaragoza), as well as two altarpieces of the chapel of the Virgen del Rosario in the parish church of Malón, (Zaragoza), as well as two notable pieces that adorn the sides of the chapel of San Andrés in the cathedral of Santa María de la Huerta de Tarazona (Zaragoza) and a piece for the sacristy of the Cistercian Monastery of Santa María de Veruela (Zaragoza).
