A CEYLON NO HEAT SAPPHIRE, DIAMOND AND RUBY BUTTERFLY BROOCH designed as a butterfly set with a Ceylon no heat sapphire of 4.12 carats, the body and openwork wings set with old cut diamonds, round cut rubies to the eyes, the diamonds all totalling 14.0-15.0 carats, no assay marks, 6.3cm, 23.4g. Accompanied by a gemmological report stating that the sapphire is of Ceylon (Sri Lanka) origin, with no indications of heat treatment.
