Bas-relief: Nativity, probably Upper Swabia, c. 1500/1520, ,limewood, carved, unmounted, three vertical cracks (one puttied), secured on the back by linen panels resp. a screw connection old, old collection label with inventory number (725700/8208000) on the reverse, 69 x 53 cm, haunting, especially the poor circumstances of the birth of Christ thematizing representation, in which Joseph asks the viewer with a reassuring gesture to restrain, while in the left background two shepherds under an archway try to catch a glimpse of the child, who is already viewed curiously by stable animals, in a red velvet covered border, overall size: 73 x 57 cm.
