A firm believer in the identification of art with the human condition, Michele Zaza made his mark with his early works in which the presence of his parents is a constant, but in 1980 at Leo Castelli's New York gallery he exhibited his 'Neo-terrestrial' series (of which we propose an image here) linked to the theme of the earth from which multicolored figures sprout. Bodies and faces covered in bold colors and immersed in mysterious atmospheres in a space that he defines as cosmic characterise new works in the 2000s.This lot is subject to Artists Resale Rights
