Chassis No ZAR162000 * 06123185* Engine Type 162B1F - Original license plate Milan - Subjected to a recent conservative restoration - Usable, iconic and a true Alfa Romeo - Future revaluation - 135,000 km indicated, believed to be original - Grigo Verde Met 661 oroiginal coloration - Double keys The Alfa Romeo 75 is one of the milestones in Alfa Romeo history. Introduced in May 1985 in the Biscione's 75th year in business, it was an instant success. Although designers had to work with many constraints due to cost containment, the 75 had a different line from the previous Giulietta 116, distinguished by a wedge design by Ermanno Cressoni. Despite retaining many of the Giulietta's sheet metal, the same engines and a Cx of 0.38, the 75 became the symbol of Alfa Romeo in the 1980s. In 1988 the 75's range was renewed with the second series, which constituted a general modernization with many improvements to the mechanicals. Especially the entry level versions would benefit from Bosch mechanical injection. The 1.8 especially in 1989 received Bosch Motronic ML 3.3 electronic fuel injection, which made the 1800cc twin-shaft deliver 122 horsepower. In 1989 the 1.8 IE is fitted with new velour interior and updated mileage counter: this will be the last version of the 75 before the end of production in 1993. This example of the 75 IE was registered on May 3, 1989 and is believed to have been produced in December 1988. Conservatively restored by the current owner, a professional coachbuilder, it is offered here as one of the classic cars sure to be revalued in the future. The interior is original and correct for the time and shows that the miles listed are most likely its originals. Fast, beautiful as well as performing, it is among the most usable classic cars one can buy at the moment.
