160 horsepower and a top speed of 225 km/h were respectable figures for a car of the late 1980s. In addition to the legendary Golf GTI, the Corrado G60 was one of those cars that managed to solidify Volkswagen's image as a manufacturer of not only reliable but also great sports cars. The G60 was together with the prestigious VR6 one of the most prestigious models in the range: powered by the same 1.8 4-cylinder, it was modified with an 8 instead of 16-valve cylinder head and by the adoption of a G Lader volumetric compressor that brought power up to 160 horsepower, enough to make it a rival to the legendary Delta HF Integrale.
Finished in the color of L97A Diamond Silver Metallic this Corrado G60 is offered by the first owner, who bought it directly from Germany when the car was no more than a few months old, importing it to Italy in 1991. It retains an excellent level of documentation of work done and parts replaced: the owner personally took care of the car's maintenance, regularly servicing it and noting the kilometers/miles and work done regularly in the coupon booklet. The car has been completely repainted over the years, and the left side panel of the driver's seat has been replaced due to signs of wear and tear: the car has never been wrecked and has never replaced the interior, which is its original The car has been fitted with Koni sport shocks for a few years, then replaced with the originals, which it still has today.
In 2018 this Corrado underwent a compressor overhaul, which was done by the owner himself. The car comes with numerous invoices for parts and interventions performed over the years, making it extremely well documented. The following option codes are present:
