I Dewa Nyoman Tjita (1927), A scene from Ramayana: the fight between Kumbhakarna and Sugriwa, The artyist of this painting is Dewa Nyoman Tjita (1927-2006) from Batuan.
A scene from Ramayana is depicted in a landscape with mountains and trees. The figures are in three-dimensional wayang style. In the middle is the fight between Kumbhakarna and Sugriwa. Kumbhakarna holds up a weapon, kadga, in his right hand. Upper left, in the air, Hanoman flies, and he grabs the knife. At the top right, another monkey, Anggada, flies with a huge boulder in his hands ready to throw it at the raksasa. On the ground, to the right, five monkeys of 'high standing', including Menda-with horns, Anala and Kesari-with fire on the head-Sampati, three common monkeys, bojog, and in the foreground the two servants of the right side, Merdah on the left, Twalen behind him. On the left side of the painting, the common monkeys are attacking the servants of the left party.
