Carved wooden frame with heraldic decoration in the neo-gothic style presenting two family miniatures:
- School of the XIXth century: Mother and her child. Miniature with round view. Trace of signature in the lower left corner. D.8 cm in view.
- A. MATHES - XIXth century : Portrait of a young child holding a bouquet of flowers. Miniature with a round view signed at the bottom right. D.8 cm at sight. Annotated on the reverse and dated 1823.
The pediment presents a quartered coat of arms under a marquis crown. The back of the frame has an easel. 28 x 37 cm in total. Wear and tear, a small missing frame.
A. Mathes is an unknown miniaturist but his technique reminds of the best pupils of Isabey.
