Barth 18214 - Lonchamp 351 - Haller I, 763 - First edition. - Very scarce first edition of the early description of the state and history of Zurich by Hans Heinrich Bluntschli (1656-1722), bookmaker, artillery captain and spokesman for the smiths' guild in Zurich. The work continued in further editions and adaptations until 1870, the 2nd edition of 1711 contains other illustrations, only the 3rd edition, ed. by Johann Balthasar Bullinger, again contains the illustrations of the 1st as well as the illustrations of the 2nd edition.
