Silver bonbonniere. Russian Empire, St. Petersburg, workshop Axel Hedlund. Turn of the 18-19th century Gilded silver bonbonniere with a lid, a case with a slotted frieze decorated with images of lyres and women in classical robes, a three-faced pommel with acanthus leaves and an engraved noble coat of arms at the bottom, handles are made in the form of dragons. Hallmarks: Axel Hedlund (master 1799), assay master Alexander Ilyich Yachinov (1795–1826), St. Petersburg city hallmark, 84 assay. Weight 1094. Height 18 cm. W. 23 cm. Hedlund Axel (born in 1764 in Norway, where he probably studied, died in 1833), in 1799 a master in St. Petersburg, in a foreign workshop, in 1816 an alderman an outstanding master, who carried out many orders for the Russian Imperial Court, had 9 students. After his death, his widow continued the business until 1839. The stamp is rectangular in shape with the image of the initials of the master in three English letters connected to each other - AHL.
