A Syrian 50th Anniversary of the Armed Forces Medal
Gilt finish, multi-piece construction, base of five-pointed gilt star with balls at tips, second tier of silver disc with five-pointed star with balls at tips, top tier five-point star with red, white and blue enameled bands surmounted by silver disc with crossed swords, eagle and wreath. Blue rayon ribbon with yellow, grey, white and red stripes, gold metal bar with pin for breast attachment. Dark-red leather case issue, gilt latch closure, inside of tan velvet raised platform, lined in tan rayon with state eagle in gold foil. Medal diameter ca. 90 mm. Ribbon 67 mm. Box approx. 20 x 14.5 x 2.8 cm.
