Order of the Legion of Honour - a silver Grand Officer's Breast Star, 2nd Empire
Intricately crafted silver order with faceted cross arms, in the center of the medallion an eagle in relief on top of lightning bolts, circumscription "Honneur et Patrie". On the reverse a horizontal pin, two pin hooks and manufacturer's mark "Ouizille Lemoine Joailliers Bijoutiers de la Légion d'honneur rue du Bac n°1 Paris". Traces of wear and age. Width 90.5 mm, weight 71 g.
