Atelier de la production de figurines de Monsieur Guy Renaud
Guy Renaud made his first figurines when he was a teenager by sculpting them out of wood.
While working for Mr. Décaves as a painter, he discovers the manufacture of the lead figurine.
He creates and starts his production in 1957.
In 1959, Mr. Décaves, for whom he worked, died. He then took over the manufacture of flag-bearers, which enriched the collections of historical figurines.
The small soldiers of Mr. Renaud were then proposed in the specialized stores.
The themes chosen by Mr. Renaud were the revolutionary wars, from which emerged the Vendée fighters, which he had jealously reserved for an elite of passionate amateurs. Some pieces will be unique or special orders. But the Napoleonic period will always remain the great subject which will leave his workshop, his warhorse until the restoration, even the great war.
Mr Guy RENAUD, this great artist of the figurine, left us in September 2017
