Large figure of Isis and Horus. Ancient Egypt, Third Intermediate - Late Intermediate Period, ca. 747-525 BC. Bronze. Restored, incomplete foot-rest. Provenance: Acquired at Bonhams, London, auction, 2008; Exhibited: Ifergan Collection, Malaga (2018-2020) / Feriarte, IFEMA (Madrid, 12-20 November 2022). Size: 29.5 x 12.5 cm. The goddess appears seated breastfeeding the child Horus, wearing the horned lunar disc, the tripartite wig with finely incised details, the tight-fitting dress ornamented with a wide collar, the naked child-deity depicted with the characteristic braided side tuft of youth and wide incised collar, seated on his mother's lap, his long slender feet resting on a rectangular plinth with hieroglyphic inscription naming the owner as Pa-wedja son of Iah-ir-dis.
