Oil on canvas painting, a sketch after an 1882 artwork titled Vityaz at the Crossroads by Viktor Vasnetsov, 1848 to 1926, a Russian artist who specialized in mythological and historical subjects. There are several versions of this artwork, the main one is in the collection of the State Russian Museum in Saint-Petersburg. The painting depicts Ilya Muromets, a popular character of Russian folklore epics. Signed by the artist in the lower right, NP. Green mat, golden frame. Russian Fine Art For Collectors.
