First edition of the French translation by Alain-René Lesage (1668-1747), considered a "beautiful infidel" of the author of Gil Blas de Santillane and the Limping Devil.

From the library of Isidoro Fernandez (2013, n°308), with his gilt emblem on the boards and his bookplate. The great Spanish bibliophile (1878-1963) had acquired it from the Librairie Giraud-Badin in 1934.
