Dufour, 1799. 7 volumes in-4, red long-grained morocco, gilded greek border, spine decorated with gilded fillets and garlands, inner garland, gilded edges (Period binding). The first volume is decorated with a portrait of the author engraved by P.-G. Langlois after F.-L. Gounod.
Superb copy printed on vellum paper in luxurious neoclassical bindings, very decorative.
From the library of Suzette Telenga and Enrique Ellinger, with bookplate.
Without the atlas in-folio composed of 39 maps and their explanation. Slight rubbing to the covers, rare foxing without gravity.
