Complete cutlery by VACHIER Y PALLÉ. Barcelona, 40's. Silver. With contrasts. Engraved with the initials JM. Weight: 6900 gr. With its mahogany cutlery tray from the 40's-50's, with 4 drawers. Cutlery made up of a total of 185 pieces distributed as follows: 12 soup spoons, 12 main course forks, 12 main course knives, 12 fish/seafood forks, 12 fish knives, 12 salad/entree forks, 11 salad/entree knives, 12 cream spoons, 12 truffle forks, 12 truffle knives, 12 ice cream spoons, 12 dessert spoons, 12 dessert forks, 12 coffee spoons and 18 serving utensils. The exquisite silverware firm Vachier y Pallé was founded in 1973 in Calle Asturias in Barcelona. After several years, the business was expanded with the opening of a shop in the Calle Mayor de Gracia. in Carrer Mayor de Gràcia. Finally, in 1958, the current shop was opened on Carrer Aragón, in the centre of Barcelona. The silversmiths themselves claim that their special dedication to craftsmanship, since so long ago, has allowed them to manufacture a variety of exclusive pieces of silverware, characteristic of their bicentenary firm. The cutlery set is accompanied by a cutlery cabinet raised on cabriole legs with claw feet. Its main body has four drawers with handles and a hinged top lid.
