VINCENZO CINQUE (Italian, 1852-1929). "Head of a child", Bronze and marble base. Signed on the back. Size: 30 x 16 x 18 cm; 11 x 11,5 x 11,5 x 11,5 cm (base). Trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, Vincenzo Cinque is considered one of the fathers of Neapolitan sculpture in the 20th century. Working mainly in bronze, Vincenzo Cinque was particularly famous for his small fishermen and laughing children in various poses, although he also produced female figures in the Art Nouveau style.
