Oil on wood, mounted on plywood board . (Around 1800). 42.2 x 33.3 cm. Framed.
Aglaia, Euphrosyne and Thalia are captured in the moment decorating a statue of Cupid with a wreath of flowers. The group of figures is compositionally derived from Peter Paul Rubens' painting "The Education of Maria de' Medici" (1622/25) in the Musée du Louvre (inv. no. 1771).
