Officine Galileo, Firenze Telescope Binocular, brass with two interchangeable turrets. Three optics per turret. Complete with original wooden tripod. Important instrument in extremely limited edition, this is the specimen marked n.9, "Officine Galileo Firenze anno 1901". A noble coat of arms is engraved on the body, consisting of two initials surmounted by a royal crown. The company was created in 1866 by the scientist Angelo Vegni supported by the astronomer Giovanni Battisti Amici, commissioned by the Grand Duke Leopold II to direct the Physics Museum of Florence. From 1880 he was involved in producing optical instruments for the Royal Navy Very good conditions, restoration to the central joint with notched joint of positioning.
