Daum Frères, Nancy, Vase for the 1893 Chicago World's Fair, H. 25.2 cm. Cased glass, green and seal red. Etched and gilded decor with rising lion, lilies and roses on the back. Bottom signed: Daum Nancy, Cross of Lorraine (engraved). Gilded silver mounting on the foot. Marked.: Minerva head (faint), manufacturer's mark., Bardin, Daum une industrie d'art lorraine, Metz 2004, p. 121 original photo of the Chicago World Fair 1893, upper row, 2nd from the left. The decor shows the coat of arms of Jean de Luxembourg-Ligny.
