Louis Damon, Paris, Vase 'Triton', c. 1895, H. 14.9 cm. Made by Daum Frères, Nancy. Cased glass, colorless, opalescent and violet. Completely wheel-cut decor with conch blowing Triton seated on a whale. Signed on the bottom: Louis Damon 20 Boulevard Malsherbes, Daum, cross of Lorraine, Nancy (engraved)., Louis Damon, owner of the glass and porcelain shop 'Au Vase Etrusque' opened his own glass processing workshop in 1889-1905, the vases were mostly produced by Daum Frères in Nancy. Damon also sold Emile Gallé vases.
