Presumed portrait of Queen Marie Antoinette (1755-1793).
Oval miniature, unsigned, representing a young woman in bust, three-quarter right, in light white dress and powdered wig. Vertical crack.
In a beautiful rectangular gilt bronze frame of the 19th century, with sandblasted background, chiseled decoration of foliage, shells and a frieze of ovals, the oval view bordered by a laurel wreath, suspension ring in the form of volutes.
H. 3,5 x W. 4,3 cm (to view). Frame : H. 13 x W. 11,5 cm.
