ANTIQUE KPM PORCELAIN PAINTING AFTER H. HOFFMAN An antique late 19th century painting on porcelain plaque by KPM. The hand-painted rectangular plaque represents a Biblical plot from Luke 2:41–51, Jesus Child disputing with the Doctors of Law in the Temple. After an original 1880s painting titled Child Jesus in the Temple by Heinrich Hoffman, 1824 to 1911, a German artist known for his Life of Jesus series. Embossed hallmark KPM, 18 12 mark are on the backside. The Konigliche Porzellan-Manufaktur Berlin, or KPM, was one of the most influential porcelain factories in 18th-century Germany, and it still operates today. KPM is revered for its porcelain plaques depicting historical scenes or copies of famous paintings. Golden frame. Collectible Neoclassical Porcelain Decor For Interior Design.
