Tres vidit et unum adoravit (Abraham kneels before the three angels). Etching. 30,5 x 24,7 cm. Not in Bartsch and Passavant, Nagler, Die Monogrammisten, I, 1961, Meyer, Allgem. Künstler-Lexikon, vol. II, p. 36, 1.
The composition of the extraordinarily rare etching goes back to a fresco by Raphael in the Vatican loggias. The type of figures used and the rudimentary, somewhat archaic etching technique correspond entirely to the stylistic idiom of Giovanni Battista d'Angolo. Excellent, even impression, trimmed to the platemark or probably minimally tight in places. Minor signs of age, verso somewhat stained, otherwise well preserved.
