A General Guard's Pickelhaube
dating: about 1910 provenance: Prussia, Black lacquered fibre body with angled visor and leather nape-guard. With golden Guard eagle at the front surmounted by an enameled Black Eagle star at the centre, slightly decentralize holes. Grooved spike on a cross-shaped base, complete with black and white feather. Chin-strap with flat scales, the two cockades still present. With brown leather sweat-band and green silk caps inside. height 34 cm.
