A Major General's cap
dating: Late 19th Century provenance: Kingdom of Italy, Made of black fabric with silver-threads badge and band embroidered on a red background, the badge with Savoy eagle under crown. Chin-strap on buttons decorated with trophy in bas-relief. Short, leather visor. Red sweat-band inside, the border with gold decorations, red silk cap. Signs of time and use. According to the owner, the cap belonged to general, politician and secret agent Edoardo Driquet (1824-1916). height 11 cm.
