Proof in carved and polished ivory.
The lid is finely carved and chased in white mother-of-pearl and haliotis mother-of-pearl in intarsia.
The base and lid with haliotis mother-of-pearl stick motifs.
Circa 1925.
Yellowing on the reverse of the white mother-of-pearl plate.
Signed G. BASTARD, on the reverse of the base.
