GEORGES BASTARD (1881-1939) UAM MEMBER 3 butterflies, unique piece Exceptional circular box. Proof in carved and polished ivory. The lid is finely carved and chased in white mother-of-pearl and haliotis mother-of-pearl in intarsia. The base and lid with haliotis mother-of-pearl stick motifs. Circa 1925. Yellowing on the reverse of the white mother-of-pearl plate. Signed G. BASTARD, on the reverse of the base. Height : 4 cm - Diameter : 9 cm Provenance : - Amédée Revet, Master ivory carver in Paris.
