The base, in patinated wrought iron, consists of four powerful scrolled feet topped by a rotating frieze of large spheres.
The lithographed globe and its graduated support are welcomed by a section of arch surmounting the base.
The base was made to receive a globe that probably already existed.
The globe marked with the circular G. THOMAS Éditeur Paris 44 N.D. des Champs 44.
