CHINE, Epoque des Royaumes Combattants, Ve-IIIe siècle avant J.-C Ritual cup "dui" in bronze used to hold and serve food (敦), mounted on a stand and of circular form with lid of the same size, featuring incised decoration of two friezes of circular motifs divided into two rows, medallion decoration surrounded by stylized bats under the foot, each flanked by two rounded handles. Height : 10.5 and 11 cm Diameter : 23 and 23.5 cm Provenance : Collection of the great-great-uncle of the present owner, a naval officer in the 1900's, and transmitted by descent.
